Jeannine Gilbert, 86, of Epsom likes to stay active. “It keeps me young,” she said, and one of the ways she accomplishes this is by teaching a quilting class at the Pittsfield Area Senior Center. On Wednesday, Gilbert and two of her students were assembling the pressed blocks of a quilt they plan to donate to the Pittsfield Youth Workshop to be raffled in a future fundraiser. The workshop provided the fabrics so the students would have materials to learn with.
