Something just didn’t look right Sunday. Horses with winter blankets in the springtime warmth, standing in deep mud. After a passer-by reported it, the Peterborough police investigated and now five horses have been moved to Live and Let Live Farm in Chichester, rescued from a neglectful situation.
All were suffering from thrush infections and, in the case of one animal, severe laminitis. The mother of the four was also malnourished. A veterinarian in Peterborough has recommended that all of the animals get
X-rays to see the severity of the infections.
