Skyeview Alpacas, which opened 25 years ago in Elkins, is home to about 45 alpacas, in addition to fluffy Angora rabbits and free-range chickens. Last weekend, owner Susan King opened up her farm to visitors.
The farm has a shop where customers can buy homemade yarns, raw fleeces and an assortment of clothing, including socks, mittens and sweaters.
“Mainly we use the rabbit fleece and the alpaca fleece to make a rather unique yarn that is a combination of the two,” King said.
