What was the highlight of your season? It was our senior night against Mascenic. We all played really well, I had some great catches and a home run. The energy was really high and it’s a night I’ll always remember.
Who was the unsung hero of your team? Our catcher Jamie Cookingham. Jamie’s a great catcher and an insane hitter. Everyone knows they can always trust Jamie to stop all the balls and make the outs at home. Whenever she’s up to bat, I always get super excited because I know she’ll do something great.
What was the biggest surprise of the season? Not making it far into the playoffs. We lost in the second round against Conant but I think we could have made it way farther.
If you could improve high school softball in New Hampshire, what would you do? We don’t have a fence at our home field so teams play us back super far and catch all of our big hits. If we had a fence, then I think our season might have ended a little differently.
Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? It’s bad luck to have the bats in the dugout crossed and it’s also bad luck to step on the white lines before a game. For good luck and convenience, I keep my batting gloves in my back pocket.
What’s your favorite pre-game meal? I usually have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and I like an iced coffee from Dunkins before games.
If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you? Pitbull would play Freddy and Jennifer Lawrence would play me.
What was the last gift you gave someone? Balloons
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? It wasn’t that funny to me because I missed the ball, but during one of our games, I slipped and fell on my butt pretty hard going for a fly ball. I guess it was funny for the people watching.
Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. It’s bright and happy.
A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? I have no clue.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? My mom, dad, and sister and we’d eat steak and mashed potatoes.
If you got a $1 million to start a company, what would you do? Probably sell some sort of food or drink.
If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? Nothing
What inspires you? Books and people.
