What was the highlight of your season? I’ve got to go with the 17-foot, 10.25-inch long jump at the D-III championships, although this award is pretty cool.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? Coach Sharma. She works with all of the throwers and jumpers for both the boys and girls. She is always willing to stay after practice and work with me. She had two state-champion jumpers this season, Michael Perry and I.

What was the biggest surprise of the season? I’ve gotta go with the 17’10.25” long jump again. Who knew I could long jump?

If you could improve high school track in New Hampshire, what would you do? I would obviously have high school start later! I need more sleep.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? I used the same uniform as last year. Yes, I mean the exact same one! Thanks Mr. Kaufman for keeping it in your office for me all year.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? Pizza with green peppers. I love pizza. Let’s be serious, it’s my favorite food all the time.

If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you? Channing Tatum or John Cena would play Coach Mary Lou Sharma (taking a little artistic license) and I am going to play me because what girl doesn’t want to be in a movie with Channing Tatum and John Cena? Yup, just put both of them in my movie!

What was the last gift you gave someone? I made my sister a bracelet in my metalsmithing class when she got her doctoral degree and I am working on a rainbow trout watercolor for Mr. Forbes, my Bow High School strength and training teacher.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? My sister (who graduated from high school when I was in kindergarten) made good on a 13-year-old promise and wore a prom dress to take pictures with me and my friends. Good thing I love her!

Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. I gave this a lot of thought and I’m struggling, so I’m going to go with let’s go get some pizza. I can’t explain what yellow looks like but it I’m sure it tastes like pizza!

A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? Penguins win the Stanley Cup! Tacos for everyone!

If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? Jesse Owens, Rachael Ray and Buddy Valastro and I would serve what ever Rachael and Buddy cook for us.

If you got $1 million to start a company, what would you do? I would open my own jewelry store right next to a pizza shop.

If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? The keyword here is had, as in NO isn’t an option, so lip sync to Shakira or do the worm. Pretty lame I know. What can I say?
