What was the highlight of your season? The whole season was great, but I’d say finally jumping 13 feet in practice was my highlight (pole vault).

What was the biggest surprise of the season? Rex (fellow pole vaulter) broke his pole when jumping 11 feet. That was quite surprising.

If you could improve high school track and field in New Hampshire, what would you do? Add more decathlons! It’s a great event, but we only get to do it once a year.

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? Pretty much anything. But during track meets I normally munch on carrots, bell peppers, fruit, etc.

What was the last gift you gave someone? Brown cheese, a very strange Norwegian caramelized
goat/cow cheese.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? I went canoeing with some friends last week and we ended up using a huge umbrella as a sail. That was pretty great.

Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind. Yellow is a very light-bright-happy color.

A penguin walks into your school wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there? He got lost while attempting to reach the North Pole after escaping from a zoo. He asks for directions – not realizing he just needs to go north.

If you could have dinner with any three people, who would it be? And what would you serve? It would be my best friends back in Utah. I haven’t seen them in years. We would eat whatever they wanted. I’m not too picky when it comes to food.

If you got $1 million to start a company, what would you do? I would design a smart house that you can talk to. Sort of like Siri, but able to control your whole house.

If you had to go on a talent show, what would you do? I’d play a piano piece, probably the “Maple Leaf Rag” by Scott Joplin.
