Concord State House to host Charlottesville vigil

A prayer vigil for the violent riots in Charlottesville, Va., will be held on the State House lawn in Concord today from 7 to 8 p.m.

The event, organized by the Rev. Alice Courtright, dean of chapel at St. Paulโ€™s School, welcomes all to a peaceful ecumenical and interfaith gathering with prayers, silence, songs and candles to stand against racism and white supremacy.

Another vigil will begin at the same time Sunday at the Exeter Town Hall.
