The Mercy Hathaway White Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution held its Aug. 9 meeting at the St. John’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Dunbarton. The meeting was called to order by Chapter Regent Alison Vallieres.
Susan DeLuca from Warner was welcomed into the chapter by Chaplain Polly Wright who performed the welcoming ceremony.
The business meeting was followed by a very interesting and informative program entitled “Lineage Documentation of Tales from the Trenches Verifying Your Ancestors,” presented by Deborah Moore, Genealogist with the N.H. Division of Vital Records Administration. Mrs. Moore was assisted by her husband, John.
The next meeting will be held on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Hopkinton Congregational Church Parish Hall in Hopkinton and will feature a Humanities Council program on “Washington Spied Here,” by Douglas Wheeler. This meeting is open to the public.
