The Gilmanton town office building gets a fresh coat of paint by J.L.T. Painting in Laconia. Matthew Perkins and owner John Thompson scrape in the mornings and put on a primer coat every afternoon. The pair has been working on the project for a month and expect to be finished by Oct. 1. They have been working weekends and holidays to avoid getting in the way of staff and town residents doing business at the building.
