Members of the Henniker Community School Cross Country Team, their coach Chris Nase, and other staff members participated in the 11th Annual Davis and Towle Friendly Kitchen 5K race on Sept. 8 on the NHTI campus.
In all, more than $12,000 was raised for the Friendly Kitchen, Concord’s only soup kitchen, at the race. Instead of a registration fee, participants were asked to make a generous donation to the Friendly Kitchen. Henniker students and staff who raced included Nick Hagar, Juileanna Fowler, Kegan Savage, Brady Woodbury, Sawyer Peterson, Perry Stratton, Noah Wegman and Alex Kierstead. HCS Cross Country Coach and school councelor Chris Nase, teacher Pete Adamo, and paraeducator Joann Kierstead also ran in the race.
