The gymnasium at Beaver Meadow School in Concord was filled with smell of frosting for Tuesday’s Back to School night. The community was celebrating the school’s 30th birthday and cake was provided for all. Former principal Dr. Roger Brooks told the story of how the school received its name back in 1987 when its doors opened. After some back and forth, a name voted on by students, who would become the first graduating class of the new school, was presented to the school board. All agreed, and the old Garrison school was replaced by Beaver Meadow School.
