On Sept. 5, there was an election in Grafton County for state representative. It was a close vote, so I, the Democratic nominee, called for a recount to ensure that the numbers were correct and no mistakes were made. What followed from the New Hampshire Republican Party was not a shared desire for election transparency but a string of personal insults to me and my supporters, and lies meant to attempt character assassination.
They pulled my supporters into the mud and unleashed disgusting attacks on them. Now, following the Rockingham County special election, they’re calling for a recount and using the same justification I used. This just shows the hypocritical nature of the N.H. GOP establishment and how they will say or do anything to get what they want.
I support the recount process, and Republicans should too – even when it’s not convenient for them.
