A sea of high heels took to Main Street in downtown Concord on Wednesday evening for this year’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. The Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire event raised money and awareness for domestic and sexual violence victims by asking participants, especially the men, to literally walk in women’s high heels. The award for biggest individual fundraiser went to Concord Police officer Dana Dexter who raised $2,850. Grappone Auto won for biggest team fundraiser at $6,250. St. Paul’s School won for biggest team, and the award for best shoe went to Ryan Sahr of Concord.
