I wonder if the citizens of Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands will start to take a knee during the playing of the national anthem. Who could blame them?
When the values of the country don’t deserve respect, why should anyone respect the flag?
Our response to the hurricane devastation of these islands is unforgivable. People are drinking contaminated water and dying. It hardly speaks well of a country that prides itself as the “most powerful in the world.”
