I am writing to share my enthusiastic support of Liza Poinier for Concord School Board.
I had the pleasure of working with Liza for three years in my role as events coordinator for Intown Concord. As operations manager, Liza demonstrated understanding, passion, creativity, flexibility, humor, expertise and leadership in directing Intown Concord’s work and mission.
Liza worked to deliver effective business programs and community events to support the economic development of our downtown, especially during two-plus years of Main Street reconstruction. This required working closely with the city, downtown businesses and community members to better understand the needs and issues, and provide timely programs and events to ensure that our downtown thrived during the construction.
Liza believes that individual economic circumstances should not be a barrier to quality education, particularly in a child’s early educational years, and that quality education for all children is an investment in New Hampshire’s resources and the future of our city and state.
Liza and her family are deeply involved in the greater Concord community and her children attend a Concord elementary school. As a board member, she will be an excellent listener and communicator, and will do the research and ask the right questions. She cares about the quality of education for all students, and she will advocate fairly and passionately for students, families, teachers and administrators.
I am proud to support Liza’s candidacy for Concord School Board, and encourage Ward 5, 6 and 7 voters to elect her on Nov. 7.
