The Friends Program recognized Belmont Elementary School as its foster grandparent partner of the year. Nine foster grandparents volunteer in pre-kindergarten through fourth-grade classrooms, and the school has participated in the program for more than 20 years.
Volunteers at the Belmont school were treated to a lunch to start the year and will receive engraved trophies thanking them for their service at the end of the year.
