Bow High senior helps brings friendship benches to schools

“Thanks a Million”

During the week of Oct. 9, Acacia Woodley of Tiny Girl, Big Dream from Indialantic, Fla., came up once again to help present eight more amazing Friendship Benches that were donated through an exciting extension of Jack Rich’s Bow High School Senior Project on positive school culture and climate.

For some background information, the benches that were placed at Bow and Dunbarton elementary schools last fall have far exceeded our expectations of how successful they would be in spreading kindness and friendship throughout both schools, making a very positive impact on students, teachers, staff, and administration. Due to this success, we have partnered with a local nonprofit organization to continue the goal of bringing Friendship Benches to as many schools as possible in New Hampshire through The Friendship Bench Project Fund.

As a result, there are now 18 Tiny Girl, Big Dream Friendship Benches in New Hampshire!

We would like to thank Grappone Automotive Group for generously donating a bench to Pembroke Village School, as well as Merrimack County Savings Bank for kindly donating a bench to Harold Martin School. Additionally, The Friendship Bench Project Fund donated benches to Center Woods Upper Elementary School, Freedom Elementary School, and Ossipee Central School.

Furthermore, due to the publicity of this project, Andover Elementary School, Mount Lebanon Elementary School, and Pembroke Hill School all generously purchased benches for their own schools.

We would also like to thank the following people for making individual donations to The Friendship Bench Project Fund: Paul and Liza Zoubek, Tina Poirier, Doug Crowley, Lisa Rogers and Kathy Garfield.
