Crush for school board

I would like to voice my support for Chuck Crush as a Concord School Board member for Wards 8, 9 and 10. As an educator in another school district, I know a quality candidate when I see one. Chuck has consistently been considering the most important question that anyone involved in leading a school community should ask: “What are we doing to best support our students?”

Chuck’s focus on full-day kindergarten, a major initiative in the state right now, as well as his emphasis on assuring that the Concord schools meet the needs of New American students, LGBTQ+ students and students with disabilities, just to name a few areas he has focused on, demonstrates his commitment to supporting Concord students in every possible way.

While it is important to remain conscious of the budget, an area where Chuck will also excel due to his work in leading a memory care community, it is crucial to remember that leading a school district involves so much more than appropriating funds and setting guidelines for spending.

Leading a school district also involves meeting the needs of each and every student, considering what will benefit students and their families in the long run, and respecting the administrative and teaching staff. As a parent of Concord School District students and a big picture kind of guy, Chuck will thrive if elected and I know that he will lead successfully in each of the aforementioned areas.

Please join me in voting for Chuck on Nov. 7.
