I am writing my letter of endorsement for Liza Poinier for school board in District B (Wards 5, 6 and 7). As a lifelong educator and a parent in the community, I am interested in seeing Concord continue to thrive and be the best city it can be.
Education is one of the far-reaching pillars of a strong community. Liza is clearly the leading choice of candidates to serve our community. Her invested commitment and service to the betterment of our community has been outstanding for years.
Specifically, I am proud to support Liza in her unwavering stance for full-day kindergarten.
Given today’s national and state standards, half-day kindergarten cannot begin to cover the expectations for our young children. Full-day kindergarten provides the time and platform to ensure that all of Concord’s young children receive the academic, physical and social support and foundation for success.
