BristolSing and supper

Bristol Historical Society will be hosting a potluck supper and sing-along on Saturday at Bristol Town Hall. The event will be open to the public with the supper starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests will need to bring their own place settings and food to share, since the new hall does not have kitchen facilities. Coffee and cider will be provided. After supper, everyone will partake in a sing-along. Local musicians are welcome to perform alongside Libby Danahy, who will play the piano the Historical Society has acquired. Parking available in the School Street lot and square. Parking near the hall should be left available for handicapped access. Contact 744-2751 for more information.

PittsfieldStay connected with your teen

An interactive program called Staying Connected with Your Teen is held at Pittsfield Elementary School hosted by N.H. Teen Institute. This is a five-week program helps parents learn how to communicate with their teens. Workshops take place Tuesdays through Dec. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. Contact jyerkes.ti@gmail.com or 545-1046 for more information.

HopkintonWWI project wins

A collaboration between 13 organizations to present World War I -related programs won a public program award from the Association of Historical Societies of New Hampshire.

The organizations were the Aviation Museum, Bradford Historical Society, Hopkinton Historical Society, Hopkinton Town Library, Mt. Kearsage Indian Museum, New Hampshire Telephone Museum, New London Historical Society, Penacook Historical Society, Pillsbury Free Library, Little Nature Museum, Warner Historical Society, Webster Historical Society and Webster Public Library.
