A voice for abused animals

I would like to thank Sen. Jeb Bradley for drafting the comprehensive animal cruelty overhaul bill. Sadly, with social media it is common to see the abuse of animals but also eye-opening to know this is happening, and we can all do our share to see this bill pass. I know in reading the comments on social media that I’m not alone in wanting stricter laws for animal abusers.

As a taxpayer, I’m also concerned about the costs to care for animals who have been seized in a cruelty investigation. These costs should not fall to the towns but to the defendants who have been charged with animal cruelty.

Please contact your state senators and urge them to co-sponsor LSR (Legislative Services Request) number 2018-2862, “Relative to Animal Cruelty,” and to vote in favor of this bill when it comes up for a vote during the 2018 legislative session. Thank you, Sen. Bradley, for being the voice for those that cannot ask for help.
