All second graders from Center Woods Elementary School visited the Weare Fire Station in October. During the visit, students were divided into three groups and rotated areas of the station. One group was in the conference room where they learned about fire prevention. Another group was given a tour of the fire engines and fire-fighting tools. The last group got to use a fire hose to try to “knock down” a fire.
