Two by two, volunteers placed food items into the more than a thousand boxes that covered a warehouse floor at the New Hampshire Army National Guard Armory in Concord on Wednesday as part of the Capital Region Food Program’s Holiday Food Basket Project. The not-for-profit endeavor, in its 44th year, will supply around 2,100 families with food to cook a special holiday meal as well enough to sustain a family of four for two weeks. Deliveries will be made on Christmas Eve and about 1,000 volunteers will have played a part in the assembling, packing, and delivering.
