My 93-year-old mother and I were driving back to Maine on the day after Christmas when my car started shimmying uncontrollably on the highway. I pulled over and randomly stopped at Meineke Car Care on the Heights. I was hoping perhaps they could squeeze us in to take a look. The manager was so friendly and helpful. They put my car on a lift immediately.
A technician came back and said my wheel wells were frozen solid with ice and he had thawed them out, and we were good to go. The manager said, “No charge. Merry Christmas!” My mother even got a bonus hot cocoa during our visit, and then we were back on the road.
