Consider these two scenarios and decide which is the greater threat to our democracy. Also, decide which actions are the least patriotic and disrespects our flag and armed forces the most.
The first scenario is: African American football players taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem to protest police shootings and other civil rights abuses directed at the African American population.
The second scenario is: Our current president and his family members and staff plotting and planning with the Russian government and its agents to interfere with our democratic election to sway the outcome. Russia has been the most dangerous adversary of the United States since World War II. Most of our defense budget has Russia in mind and the training our armed forces receive also has Russia in mind as the greatest threat to our freedoms (which includes freedom of speech and the right to protest). Yet our president continues to heap only praise on Vladimir Putin.
Which scenario disrespects our flag the most and is the least patriotic?
