Regardless of where you fall on the ideological spectrum, you moved to New Hampshire or stayed here because there are advantages. New Hampshire Advantages.
The quality of life, low crime rate and low overall tax burden are features of our state “culture” that stem from a commitment to low spending and local control. We elect local leaders to a citizen-run state Legislature that invites us to hold them to account.
As a state representative, Steve Negron rallied alongside a minority of representatives in defense of the New Hampshire Advantage. Together they sent a message to their own party leadership that the budget wasn’t friendly enough to taxpayers. And they won the day.
As we turn our eyes toward the nation’s capital, we find none of that. There is not one tax fighter in New Hampshire’s congressional delegation.
The 2nd Congressional District incumbent, Ann Kuster, ran as a moderate, grassroots candidate, but she quickly became a partisan politician feeding on Deep-State special interest money. As of mid-2017, she had raised nearly $3.5 million from labor unions, political committees and PACs, with only one-half of 1 percent of that total, just over $17,000, from donors with a New Hampshire address.
Steve Negron is a taxpayer watchdog and defender of the New Hampshire advantage. Ann Kuster is a beneficiary of the inside-the-beltway advantage. New Hampshire needs a voice, which is why as a registered Democrat, I support Steve Negron for Congress.
