Catherine Hansen and Jonathan Nabavi were married Aug. 19 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Bar Harbor, Maine. The Rev. John R. Skehan officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Paige Hansen of Boston, sister of the bride, and Sarah Baroody of New York City were maids of honor. Other attendants included Bree Simmers of Chicago, Stacy Kinnier Yoon of Newburyport, Mass., and Lindsay Hill, of Raleigh, N.C.
Blake Nabavi of Los Angeles, brother of the groom, was best man. Matthew Murphy of Nashville; Raphael Rabin-Havt of New York; Benjamin Lago of State College, Pa.; Jason Stryker of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Robert Hansen of Portland, Maine, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.
The bride, daughter of Robert and Mary Jo Hansen of Concord, graduated from the University of Delaware and is a lobbyist for the Congressional Relations Department at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Washington, D.C.
The groom, son of Dr. Abdollah and Rosemary Nabavi of State College, Pa., graduated from Pennsylvania State University and received a law degree from George Washington University. He is vice president for public policy and government affairs at the National Football League.
The couple took a honeymoon to Morocco and Paris and live in Washington, D.C.
