Congressman Devin Nunes, a California Republican, has not ever laid eyes on the classified documents that are the basis for his memo. He showed his work to the president. He revised his work after that. He never showed his work to Republican senators who just might have an interest in protecting confidence in our government and in furthering transparency and accountability to the boss of the elected representatives in Washington, D.C., namely the American people. I ask you to consider thoroughly whether Congressman Nunes’s behavior is that of an honest person or a person who feels accountable to the people? Does he care one whit about good government? Do the Republicans in Washington? They seem to have given up their common sense in the interest of furthering their political agenda at any cost. That sounds like Lenin to me. He said that the ends justify the means. Is that what the United States of America’s creed is now?
