Children in our schools are killed with guns because we allow it. We continue to vote for representatives who will not make any decisions about gun control. We allow these representatives to tell us that the issue is complicated and political and apparently there is never a good time to talk about it.
I agree that the issue is complicated, but surely we can begin to take some action to stop this killing of students in schools. Background checks and a ban on assault rifles would be a good start.
Until we do something and stop accepting these deaths, the killings will continue and we will continue to offer useless prayers to the families of the dead.
