New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell paid a visit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Concord on Wednesday to promote the importance of reading. He brought his children’s picture book, “The Magician’s Hat,” and entertainer John Logan to perform a magic show. Mitchell then read aloud to the group, something he admitted he was afraid to do as a child. The free event was sponsored by Advantage Kids and USTA New England.
