Opening Friday, the University of New Hampshire Museum of Art will feature the master’s of fine arts thesis exhibition and the senior bachelor of arts exhibit. 

The master of fine arts exhibit includes candidates Paddy Aidan, a graduate of Western Michigan University in painting and who studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Oxbow School of Art; Tatiana Makarova, who earned a folk Russian art degree and a bachelor’s and post-bachelor’s degree concentrating in graphic arts at the Moscow State Straganov Academy, Russia; and Ron Prigat, who studied at the Jerusalem Studio School of Drawing and Painting followed by five summers painting the  Italian countryside.

The bachelor’s of arts degree students on display include Molly Anderson, Samantha Applegate, Beatrice Couser, Rachel Goyette, Kaiwen Li, Sebastian Mandino, Lauren Maurice, Jiacheng Xu, and Wenjie Xu, representing concentrations in drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. Bachelor of fine arts students include Patricia Leonard (photography), Cierra Vigue (ceramics), Hannah Lacey (painting), Samantha Elsaesser (photography) and Emily Wernig (ceramics, drawing).

A gallery talk by the master’s students will be held April 25 from 12:10 to 1 p.m. 

The bachelor’s degree students will present at the undergraduate conference. Leonard, Vigue and Lacey will present April 18 from 12:05 to 1:35 p.m. Elsaesser and Wernig will present April 19 from 12:45 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. 

The museum is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday  from 1 to 5 p.m. The works will  be on display through May 18.
