Tom and Chris Avallone of Portsmouth announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Avallone, to Greg Meighan, son of Tom and Barbara Meighan of Goffstown.
Avallone, of Charlestown, Mass., graduated from Concord High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree in education from Plymouth State University. She is a teacher at St. John School in Boston.
Meighan, also of Charlestown, Mass., graduated from Goffstown High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English journalism from the University of New Hampshire. He is an account manager at On Campus Advertising in Boston.
An Aug. 10 wedding is planned.
