Concord Post 21 swept Laconia Post 1 in a Senior Legion double-header on Tuesday at Memorial Field.
Concord (6-1) won the first game, 11-1, in five innings. Jacob Knowles pitched 4⅔ innings allowing one run with six strikeouts, and Ryan Merchant used one pitch for the final out. Adrian Kennedy went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Zach Miles, Kurtis Stadnicki and Griffin Gilbert all had multiple hits while batting in two runs apiece. Jake Kelly was 3-for-3 with one RBI, and Alex Buteau went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Post 21 took the second game, 3-1. Eric Sullivan dealt four innings of one-hit, one-run ball with two strikeouts to earn the win. Sean McDonough pitched two innings with two strikeouts and allowed no hits. Gilbert earned the save pitching one hitless inning. Stadnicki and Gilbert led Concord at the plate, each going 2-for-3 with one RBI. Connor Blandini stole two bases and scored on a passed ball.
Post 21 heads to Saint Anselm College to face Weare Post 65 (1-1) at 5:30 p.m.
