The Mug Restaurant, located on Route 3 in Center Harbor, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this August. After the year-long celebration with monthly throwback menu items and contests, The Mug has geared up to invite the public to join their celebration Aug. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. While remaining committed to its founding purpose of providing a fun, safe, and neighborhood dining establishment; the Mug stands out as a paradigm of the family-friendly tavern model. There is no other form of gratitude than to celebrate with friends, family, former owners and the Lakes Region patrons. Join the party dressed up in your best โ70s and โ80s gear to have a chance to win some awesome prizes! The Mug and Amoskeag Beverages will host an outdoor beer tasting, hold corn hole and pool table games, and celebrate with great music. The Mug will be offering limited edition 50th Anniversary commemorative merchandise. Interlakes Community Caregivers will host its 8th annual Community Caregivers MiniGolf Tournament on Sept. 8 at Pirateโs Cove Adventure Golf on Route 3 in Meredith. Teams and individuals compete for Lowest Score and Holes in One, and a new โTeam Spiritโ Award will be presented. Tournament Registration starts at noon with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. At the end of play, while scores are tallied, ice cream sundaes are prepared for all sponsored by Ben & Jerryโs Meredith. Hot dogs will be available for sale to nourish the mini-golfers and their fans.
