The Sears store in Steeplegate Mall in Concord will stay open even as two others in New Hampshire are shut by the company, including the Sears in the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.
Sears Holdings announced Thursday morning that it will close 33 Sears stores and 13 Kmarts across the country as part of its latest effort to cut costs. The stores will close by the end of November, with liquidation sales expected to begin by September.
The only New Hampshire stores to close are at the Mall of New Hampshire and the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem.
There were 365 Kmart and 506 Sears stores operating as of May 5. Over the past year, 379 stores have been shut.
There are also Sears stores in Nashua and Newington.
