My name is Dennis R. Soucy, and I am running for state representative in Concord Ward 8.

As we are getting ready for the primary election on Sept. 11 and the general election on Nov. 6, we all take pride in our work and we spend our own money on palm cards and signs.

Rule No. 1 is to respect your opponent. Rule No. 2 is never take or destroy their signs or property.

Many of my signs have already been stolen. This has happened to me before.

People say you are crazy to run and serve your city, state or country, unless you have money to back it up. Helping people and doing the honest thing is not for everybody. Everybody complains all the time, but only 15 to 20 percent get out and vote.

I have walked more than 16 miles and stopped at more than 300 homes this month. I still have many more to go.

I am a tough old man, and I have my big boy pants on. I can take hits from all over.

If you can read this letter and have a problem or issue with me, I am not hard to find. Call me anytime, and we will talk about anything you wish. I will be honest with you and become a friend.

I have been here on Russell Street and Airport Road for 35 years, and always around and about and seen. God bless America.

DENNIS R. SOUCY
