The Hopkinton State Fair, a Labor Day tradition, geared up for a weekend of 4-H activities, amusement rides and lots of food with vendors of all kinds packed into the fairgrounds in Contoocook. In addition, there are all-day events including the Abbott-Downing Historical Society Museum, the Charmingfare Farm Petting Farm, a Maple Sugar House and a farmers market. The fair runs through Monday.
