Please consider this invitation to join Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on Sunday at Memorial Field in Concord.
If you are looking for a reason to join us on a beautiful Autumn day, reflect for a moment on this: A young woman in her 30s from our community was diagnosed with breast cancer last week.
She has formed a team, is raising money and will be there on Sunday to join in the powerful Survivor Procession, part of our Opening Ceremony that starts at 12:30 p.m. Think about the courage and strength this person is showing to her husband, her 3-year-old daughter, her family and to all of us, as she steps beyond the challenges of a cancer diagnosis and wants to embrace Making Strides. She is feeling hope as she participates with her family and friends.
Perhaps each of us need a bit of hope in our lives. Come join us on Sunday – you will experience the true strength and genuine spirit of humanity among us.
This event is more than a walk. It is a vehicle to heal the heart, to support one another and to join together as a powerful force, united against cancer. Everyone is welcome to attend. Fundraising and donations are welcome and they directly support the American Cancer Society’s critical breast cancer research and programs and services that support those facing a cancer diagnosis.
