As symbols of autumn such as scarecrows and colored leaves litter the Concord area, the weather is expected to turn warmer and wetter by week’s end, according to the National Weather Service. After a cold evening last night, temperatures are expected to moderate into the 50s by the weekend. The weather service also expects rainstorms to move in and last through Saturday. The unseasonably warm temps are predicted to last into early next week.
