Webster voters have a chance to vote for three local state representatives who understand the relationship between the larger state and our small town. All three have been small-town select board members and know first-hand how much small towns can benefit from state help. All three have already advocated for Webster residents in the past, and will continue to do so in the future.
Mason Donovan is running for state senator. I served with Mason on the Webster select board and can attest first hand to his abilities to work through difficult issues, to consider all sides of controversial topics and to make well-based decisions. He knows us well.
Clyde Carson is running for state representative. I worked with Clyde when he was a select board member in Warner. For the last two years, Clyde has supported additional state aid for highways and roads, voted for the state to meet its earlier promise to pay a portion of public employee retirement costs and voted against public funds going toward private education. A vote for Clyde is a vote for low taxes.
David Karrick is also running for state representative. When David was a Warner selectman and a state representative, he stepped in and fought successfully for the state to pay previously neglected payments in lieu of taxes for the Blackwater Dam property. He fights for us.
Please join me in voting for Mason Donovan, Clyde Carson and David Karrick. All fine candidates worthy of your vote.
