Hopkinton’s Thomas named D-III field hockey Player of the Year

Hopkinton’s Amelia Thomas was named Division III field hockey Player of the Year by the New Hampshire Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday, leading 15 first-team all state picks from schools in the Capital area.

Carly Torrance and Ella Doherty represented Concord on the D-I first team, while Emily Forward was a second-team selection for the Tide.

In Division II, Bow’s Elizabeth Guertin, John Stark’s Elizabeth Aubin and Kasey Arnold, Merrimack Valley’s Reilly Swislosky and Pembroke’s Ali Corriveau all made the cut for the first team.

Hopkinton’s Chloe Wood joined Thomas on the D-III first team. Bishop Brady’s Abby Tremblay and Ashlyn Toupin, Franklin’s Ryley Haskins, Kearsarge’s Marissa Pickman and Jordan Pollard, and Winnisquam’s Madison House and Eveline Auger were also D-III first-team picks.
