Henniker Community School students in fifth, seventh and eighth-grade created comics based on their Social Studies units of study with visiting Henniker author and cartoonist Marek Bennett.
The fifth-grade is studying explorers, the seventh-grade is studying the Bill of Rights and Constitutional Convention, and the eighth-grade studies the Civil War.
Kristen MacLean from the Henniker Historical Society also visited and brought artifacts from the Civil War time period, which the eighth-grade students could look for a source for details in their comics.
