Our delusional president is currently opining “Democrats are responsible for government shutdown.” Our Republican majority Senate and our Republican majority House of Representatives had agreed upon a continuing resolution to fully fund the federal government until February 2019. President Donald Trump assured the House and Senate he would sign the bill. The continuing resolution did not have $5 billion in it for the “wall.”
Excepting for the few members of the “Freedom Caucus,” Republican lawmakers are ticked. Rather than respecting the “deal” President Trump made with Congress, our delusional president took the advice of his talk show host advisers and is “proud to shut down the government.”
Now, he is trying to blame Democrats for the shutdown, particularly Nancy Pelosi. By the way, while watching the meeting between the president, Chuck Schumer and Pelosi, did you notice the dismissive attitude of Trump toward the “girl” in the room? A leopard can’t change its spots. Neither can Trump.
