A Bow man charged with sexually assaulting two boys will stand trial twice later this year.

Patrick Nylen, a former employee in the town’s public works department for more than 10 years, will face four felony and two misdemeanor charges in May and July. Through his attorney, Nylen reached an agreement with the county attorney’s office earlier this month to split the six charges he is facing into two trials, one for each of the underage boys he is accused of assaulting and exposing himself to.

Nylen, 50, is accused of sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 13 in 2010. That case also carries two misdemeanor charges, alleging inappropriate sexual contact. Jury selection is scheduled for May 14 in Merrimack County Superior Court in Concord.

He also faces three charges of indecent exposure and lewdness, a Class B Felony, in a separate case involving another boy under the age of 16 in 2014. Jury selection is scheduled for July 23, also in Concord.

Nylen was arrested in June and indicted by a grand jury in September. He is no longer listed in Bow’s employee directory.
