The 17-member select committee charged with crafting a bill that the president will sign to protect our southern border has a golden opportunity to show all of us Congress can step up and compromise and get it done to the satisfaction of all.
If there was ever a simple question of what is the best course of action to better protect the people of America regarding border security, this should be the easiest vote a member of Congress would cast, but the Democrats have shown their true colors. All you have to do is put party politics aside and vote for America. Everyone wins and no one loses.
It’s all about the upcoming 2020 presidential elections and not giving the Republicans a thumbs up on an obvious vote to make our country safer.
I hope America remembers this time in history, the phony arguments put forth to deny a fix to border security, what happened in the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nominee hearings, the Lois Lerner IRS fiasco, the stench that arose out of the revelations unearthed in the FBI investigations, the Benghazi disaster and more.
All of this is why the Democrats have a lot to fix before they get a seat in the Oval Office. A lot to fix.
