When I was running for state representative, one of the Concord leaders I had the opportunity to speak with was Byron Champlin, Ward 4 city councilor and a longtime contributor to our community. As we talked, I could see that he is an active listener and a wise adviser.

I had learned of Byronโ€™s work with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, the Capitol Center for the Arts, the Concord Planning Board and the Friends of White Park, among many others. But the thing that strikes me when I speak with City Councilor Champlin is his ability to respectfully consider the viewpoints of people on all sides of a question, treating people with respect, and offering many helpful insights on issues of concern to the people of Concord, a city he cares about passionately.

Byron Champlin has also been a strong supporter of the New American community of Concord, offering support to Concordโ€™s multicultural organizations and working quietly to open lines of communication between diverse groups in our city.

Please consider casting your vote for Byron Champlin for Concord city councilor at-large on March 5.
