Byron Champlin doesn’t deserve a promotion. There’s no question that Byron is a likeable and approachable politician. He serves Ward 4 well. But his solution is always to tax and spend – more. Byron was a key instigator of the Dan Feltes car tax, which could have increased car registrations by another $150.
Don’t reward this tax and spender with a promotion to an at-large seat. Defeating Byron will keep him on the council for Ward 4 and remind the other councilors to watch the spending.
