It’s that time of year. Elections again for Webster select board: two candidates – Bianca Acebron Peco versus Raymond Scott.
I have questions:
Who will be available for meetings (not on the phone)?
Who has the time to not only attend the select board meetings but also to attend other town meetings and training?
Who will listen to and respond to questions, ideas and problems?
Who will have and take the time to research and keep tabs on the community?
Who can and will follow through?
Who knows and will work well with town employees?
Who will take their residency seriously and represent Webster and the Pillsbury Lake Community?
Past experience with an individual is usually a good indicator of how these questions will be answered and personal experience is the best. I have watched or worked with one candidate for the past 10 years. I expect to hear better answers.
I know who I am voting for.
