Carol Harless is running for the elected position of Hopkinton town clerk/tax collector. She is knowledgeable, dependable, capable and willing to work to do what is best for the town.

Rumors have run rampant as to why the board of selectmen suddenly moved the town clerk/tax collector’s office to the town hall this fall. The move was the result of personnel issues handled in nonpublic session by the board.

I believe Carol is the correct person for the position to best serve the residents. She has 15 years of experience serving as the assistant town clerk/tax collector and has the certification and knowledge of the Department of Motor Vehicles registrations and titles, elections and the Bureau of Vital Records, and she knows how to prepare for property tax and water/sewer billing. She is also trained to register boats, snowmobiles and ATVs, and issue hunting and fishing licenses. She was a trainer at DMV before working for the town. She is certified and trained in the daily tasks involved in efficiently running the office. When a resident has a complex motor vehicle registration, Carol’s training is evident as she is able to complete the transaction quickly and accurately.

Please consider voting for Carol Harless for town clerk/tax collector on Tuesday, March 12.
