My name is Bob Blanchette, and I am running for a seat on the Bow Select Board.
I have lived in Bow for 16 years, and my passion for helping to improve our town is the reason that I am running.
As someone who has worked in town government for all of my adulthood, it makes sense for me to run. I currently work for the town of Bristol, but have gained first-hand knowledge about the specific issues that affect our town as the previous Bow finance director for 4½ years.
One of the primary issues of my campaign will be to personally contact potential businesses to relocate to Bow. I will seek all available funding, including USDA and state grants, for constructing a sewer pumping station to bring sewer to Route 3A for all residents and businesses.
I will work with the community by implementing a customer satisfaction survey that all residents can participate in. Live-streaming of select board meetings will also help to improve communication.
I also feel that it is important to have a strong working relationship with the schools. I am a former member of the Concord School Board and my wife, Lisa, has been a public school teacher for the past 18 years.
I welcome residents to contact me at 227-1149 or finance0523@comcast.net with any questions, concerns or ideas.
I hope that I can count on your vote and support on March 12.
